on the blog again, i can't wait to be on the blog again

sorry it's been a while, readers. i had four wisdom teeth extracted on Friday, and I've just been in a haze since then...school started today though, so i had to wean off the pain pills and get better.
the surgery wasn't bad. i was awake for the whole thing and the worst pain that i experienced was one of my shots hit a nerve and went all the way up into my cheek. that sucked. my dad sat in the doorway and watched the whole thing... he kept pulling on my toes to make sure i was doing ok. the nitrous oxide they gave me was awesome :D it definitely calmed me down a lot. anyways, it was over within an hour and a half (maybe even an hour), so i can home after that. my mouth bled forever, and by the next day my cheeks were gigantic. i kind of lazed around all weekend, eating otter pops, sorbet, and ramen noodles. it wasn't very exciting.
today...school. i got up at 5:00 to go to a class at 7. that was dumb. tomorrow, i'm getting up at like 5:45 if I can. i ate breakfast and walked around at school for half an hour with my boyfriend. after that, i went to government for a hour. that was fun. i really like my teacher, so i'm looking forward to the year. first hour was spanish 4 (ahh!) but thankfull there are native speakers that I know in the class, so that will definitely help me. second hour was bio, and my teacher seems a lot more focused than last year...he actually gave us a chapter to read that's relevant to the class.....third and fourth hour were history and english with ms. harper, and i love her, so there should be no issue there. i kinda ditched tok to go to my mom's office for an ice pack for my face. fifth and sixth hour were math with ms. magnusson. and that was it. i took a nap when i got home, and i feel much better already. so, that's all for today.

"your art was the prettiest art of all the art"

ok. well, yesterday was kind of a blur. it was a game day, i remember that....i went to work at 10 and got off at 2, so that was fun. my manager kristen got transferred to a different store, so i'm bummed. it's been kind of lame since then. after that, i went to buffalo with jon, shae and my brother. i was kinda peeved afterwards because sam made me pay for his lunch without any warning...awkward. spicy garlic wings aren't that great, either. next time i'm getting something else. after that, we had a race back to jon's house and we threw pennies at eachother at 50 miles an hour. that was the best part of the raide home. after that, the boys convinced me to play halo on xbox live and i actually got six kills in one game. wow.
shae reported a bunch of people for cheating. that was pretty great. after that, sam and i went home and asked me to play chess with him. i didn't want to, but i agreed and ended up playing four games. we pwned me on the first three, and i think i won the last one. that was neat.
today, i got up and mopped the floor. i rode my bike to work (going down alma school is much more fun than coming back up) and did that for four hours. derek left me in charge (!!) while he went to the bank. that was pretty neat.
i came home at 2:30 and ate a can of tuna. yeah. sam and i watched the news and then played some more chess. i think the first game waas a stalemate and the last one got kinda crazy too. i also ate a lot of cereal today.
anyways, that's all i can say about today. bye bye.

hmmm. today was kinda weird. i woke up at about six, but hit the snooze button again. until 7:40. i got up and worked on my extended essay while i ate my bowl of dry cinnamon toast crunch. my dad told me he'd give me a ride at 8....and i didn't need one until 10:00. by that time he had left, so i walked. i hung out with all the ib kids until mrs. johnston was ready to see me so we could talk about my essay. i'll just say that it needs a lot of work. and i'm pretty prepared to work on it. i'm bummed that i have to interview someone, though. bleckhh.
after that, i went to arby's with jon and shae. that was ok. it's weird going to lunch with shae. just kidding. he's cool.
after that, i went home and got all dolled up for my senior pictures. it didn't really do much....my pictures weren't that great. i mostly look tired. and my bangs were ugly. at least there were three that i liked :D
so, now i'm laying on my bed and watching the Office. maybe i should eat dinner...or write my essay? or choose some pictures to analyze?
anyways. fun stuff. see you tomorrow.

nothing is ever as good as it was....

i intended to get up at eight today. that didn't work out. i kept hitting the snooze button on my cell phone, but i got tired of being woken up every five minutes, so i eventually turned it off. i finally got up at ten, figuring i should have some breakfast or cereal before i left for church. that was nice. i read the ads in the paper, fully intending to ignore them and not plan on buying anything. i do that every sunday and i probably always will. am i such a consumer that i feel the need to read ads without paying attention to them? does it prevent me from buying things during the week? is there some kind of meter in my head that requires shopping stimulus and when it's low i have to go out and buy something?
the comics weren't very funny. i always think get fuzzy is funny, though. anyways....i was watching the beginning of a nascar race with my dad (don't worry, that's a one time thing) when i hear my neighbor's voice. she's standing in the kitchen, wrapped in a towel asking if we have a set of housekeys to let her into her house. apparently she was painting and locked herself out. or else swimming. one of the two. so, she asked my brother to break her window and climb in so he could open the front door. after that happened, she gave us a tour of the house (she's done a lot of painting and buying) and it looks pretty cool. cluttered. but cool. her husband is a sculptor, so there's a bunch of marble sculptures throughout their house. she said they're going to have to start selling some...they're running out of room for all of them. by the time the tour was over, it was 11:15, and i usually leave for church at 11:05 with jon.
i sat and watched part of the race with my dad when jon called and said he was going to be late. he got to my house at about 11:30 and we decided to just stay home. at 1, we went to the library to go volunteer. that was fun. uneventful. rosa was working, so she sent me downstairs to buy her a pepsi and so i could buy a snack. after that, i went back down again for a second snack run. gave jon some ritz chips. i won a movie set at the library (tickets, cups, and popcorn passes) for entering a volunteer raffle (yay!) and when we got back to my house, jon and i looked at movie times. i wanted to see stepbrothers and he wanted to see the new mummy movie, but they were both special engagements, so we didn't see one today. he was pretty much falling asleep at the table, so i asked of he wanted to take a nap one the floor with me. i ended up playing with his hair and i fell asleep like that. i don't know what it is, but it's happened to me a few times....where you fall asleep doing something and when you wake up, you try to over-compensate? I would fall asleep with my fingers in his hair and wake up and then try to stay awake by messing up his hair. it didn't work, because i kept falling asleep. i heard him snore a few times, though :D he kept laughing at me because i was drooling on the carpet.
after that, we watched the office with my family and ate dinner. it was nice. after that, i don't even remember what we did. my parents started watching this weird show about sex and technology, so i left and hung out with sam and jon in the living room. we ended up playing pictionary on jon's phone (he has a drawing tool, so we went to a word generating website and tried to draw whatever came up. we laughed a lot. then jon left and here i am. laying on my brother's bed, writing my blog and whining about my essay.
boo hoo. school starts in a week.

Wake Up- The Sun is Risin' Without You

I haven't posted in a while. I've done a lot this summer....
I went to a camp at ASU for a week for "future educators". I actually learned a lot from it. But it was just really awkward until the 2nd to last day....my roommate talked on the phone the whole time and just kind of ignored me. Found some cooler people to hang out with, obviously. It kind of reaffirmed that I do want to be a teacher, so I feel really good about how the whole conference went as a whole.
After that, I worked a bit. I work at Arby's at Mesa Riverview..and that's fun.....I guess. One of my five managers is totall insane and really mean....I ty to avoid working with her. She's kind of a bummer to be around.
My extended essay...sucks. really bad. ahahaha. that's it.
Today, I went to Chevy's with my old English teacher and some buddies to review a book for her. After that, I went shopping with two of my best friends at Ross. Tried on a bunch of shirts and didn't like a single one! Aha.Yeah, I returned each of the seven shirts to the rack. awesome. Meagan got a really cool one that I could never pull off.
After that, we went ot Alison's and watched the Office and ate sorbet straight out of the tub. It was awesome. Good day.
I also had a very productive phone conversation with my vp of a club I run at school. I'm very reassured and looking forward to the year.
